In this post I will talk about Finlay&Co.
Four friends believe the Eyewear Industry was missing a British voice.
British designers traditionally succeed by challenging what's accepted to deliver the remarkably unexpected. Working with wood is unique. Each pair of Finlay&Co.'s sunglasses has its own grain infact the wood enable them offering a one-of-a-kind product to each customer.
Launched in July 2012, awarded in October 2013 at the Scottish Fashion Awards as Accessory Designer of the year and selected in February 2014 by Vogue Italia as one of the brand of the Vogue Talents presented during Milan Fashion Week.
Fashion influencers as David Gandy, Pippa Middleton, Jenson Button, Cressida Bonas and Poppy Delevingne are already in love with these products…
and let me say that I understand the reason.
My favorites are :
The Beaumont (you see them in the picture below) that leads the collection into its next chapter. This design introduces Gold and Hardwood together for the very first time. Taking nuances from the Ledbury and Bosworth designs, the Beaumont is completed with a Gold frame to provide an intricate and luxurious finish.
and
The Thurloe ( the sunnies I wore in the first picture) design encompasses everything that Finlay & Co. stands for, challenging what’s accepted
to provide the remarkably unexpected. Following on from the Beaumont, classic hardwood is accompanied by a
Gold frame and bridge to produce the most iconic style in the collection.
